As mentioned in the comments, Colorsuckr has fixed the background color problem. And is a great tool for web designers!

Again, sites that deal with design, style or color should be held to a higher standard.

The Problem: Undefined background color (at least for the "Light" theme).
The Fix: The good old background: #fff addition to the /css/styles.css file . I think it is funny that picking the "Dark" theme option does correctly define the background.

Mother Jones Needs A Background Color

Mother Jones has fixed their background color problem.

Gotta love sites that define background colors on all sorts of items, like links and headers, but forgets to put one on the body.

Boing Boing Offworld Has A Color Problem

Boing Boing finally took a break from steampunk ukeleles and fixed the text color.

Boing Boing: Offworld is just a tad difficult to read, since they’ve neglected to define their text color.

Minnesota Public Radio’s Lack of Defined Colors

A slight redesign, but the colors are correct.

Another day, another site without defined colors.

Splicetoday.com is Splicing My Eyes! Make it Stop!

And it appears that their web developer got the message, since the site is now fixed.

SpliceToday.com has a ton of colors on their homepage, but they’ve forgotten to define a couple of other colors.

The Problem: The homepage is missing a background color, but the articles are missing both background and text colors. The graphics assume a white background, and you can never go wrong with black as a text color.
The Fix: Adding background-color: #fff; color: #000; to the splicetoday.css file.

Multicolr Search Lab Missing Some Colr

Looks like Multicolr finally found their background color.

When a site is all about color, it should be held to a higher standard. The Multicolr Search Lab is a cool tool, but it’s missing one color.

The Problem: No defined background color. The graphics were created to be used on a white background, I’m guessing, so it seems that’s the color that needs defining.

Baltimore Sun Needs To Shed Light on Colors

The sun is shining on Baltimore Sun’s fixed colors.

The Baltimore Sun seems to have forgotten to define certain colors on their site, making it look a little odd.

The Nucleus Gallery Needs Some Art Help

Nucleus has updated their CSS, and now all is fine!

The Nucleus Art Gallery site has got some really cool Sandman art for purchase. They also have no background color defined for the site, making it look funny to me.

Lego.com Needs Better Building Blocks

Yay, Lego is mostly fixed. Still a couple of text color issues here and there, but defining their background color is a good start.

My significant other really loves Lego, so I see a lot of Lego pages. Recently, she was taking a look at the Taj Mahal set (which is really cool, I can’t wait to see it in person). Most of their pages, though, lack a defined background color.

The Problem: Background color is undefined.
The Fix: Yikes! With 15 style sheets and embedded styles, you’d think somewhere along the way, one of the web developers would have tossed a background-color: #fff; in there. But apparently, even with the 15 style sheets, no one bothered.

MacUser Not So Nice to Users

MacUser has fixed their background color.

I’ll be getting to Apple later this week, but for now, I’ll pick on MacUser. Their site can be very hard on the eyes.

The Problem: The page’s background color is undefined; the red hurts my eyes!
The Fix: Simply adding background-color: #000 to the body selector in site-styles.css file. Even a Mac user could do it!
